NEW RELEASE: INTERSTITIAL IV




INTERSTITIAL IV sees release on long-standing experimental netlabel, Zenapolae. This is MUTATE's first outing on Zenapolae, a well respected netlabel operating since 1999.

This release focusses on two live sets from 2016 that were played on consecutive nights, and the contrast between these performances.

NEW RELEASE: CICATRIX


CICATRIX sees release on respected experimental netlabel, Histamine Tapes. This is MUTATE's first outing on Histamine and second release since 2016. Expect more: a cassette release of new material is planned for 2021.

Thematically, this studio release is inspired by the way we mark the planet's face. In this case the communications and technology sector offer much to observe, from armoured cables laid over many miles of treacherous seabed, to a vast network of pylons carrying crackling electricity overhead.

NEW RELEASE: INTERSTITIAL III


INTERSTITIAL III sees MUTATE's first release since 2016 on low-profile experimental netlabel, Stray Recordings.

This release is taken from a one-take improvisation recorded in 2012. The Interstitial series documents the live/improvisational side of MUTATE, which can often be in stark contrast to 'studio' releases.
